Juneau Student Symphony
The Student Symphony is a full size orchestra for music students of all ages. They perform 3 concert pairs per year plus a yearly tour to other Southeast Alaska communities. Visit their website for concert and rehearsal schedules and details about joining the orchestra.
Youth Concerto Competition

Open to young musicians in Southeast Alaska, the Youth Concerto Competition provides an opportunity for budding talent to demonstrate their skills with the winners going on to perform with the Juneau Symphony or the Student Symphony.

Music in the Schools

Each year the Juneau Symphony performs a one-hour school assembly program at the JDHS auditorium with transportation provided by Princess Tours. All 4th and 5th graders in the Juneau School District are invited to attend at no cost to the students or the schools. Prior to the concert Symphony musicians visit the
classrooms to demonstrate their instruments and share their enthusiasm for music.
The 2008-09 Music in the Schools concert will be at 10am on Friday, October 24 at JDHS.
Kids2Concerts
Sponsored by McDonald's of Juneau
The Kids2Concerts program provides complimentary Symphony concert tickets to schools in the Juneau School District and to members of the Juneau Student Symphony. It also provides discounted tickets for the families of Student Symphony members.
